When I first started taking pictures I was mainly concerned with recording moments and objects without any though of technical considerations. Over time I began investing in better equipment and learned from experienced photographers such as Phel Steinmetz. The result was $2000 worth of Nikon equipment, a spot meter, and usage of the Zone system. My style rarely facilitates using the Zone system. When I shot Jennifer I was using only my Nikon FE2 with a 35mm f 1.4 lens. My primary concern was capturing the decisive moment. I guess I've come full circle now.
